Keep Going After Your Dreams
For this month’s blog, I wanted to share an interview I did 2 weeks ago with Rick Cowley, Founder of Vision Quest Retreats. It ended up being one of my favorite interviews ever — ease-ful, fun and thought-provoking. Rick is master of asking questions that get you thinking before and long after the event.
Who is Rick and what are VQ Retreats?
You may remember my doing a Surf+ Life Design Retreat in 2013 in Bali that changed the whole trajectory of my life (and I learned to surf!!) – that’s @visionquestwithrick.
I absolutely love Rick’s work and always go back to it when I need a re-focus and re-alignment. Rick is also a dear friend and teacher who I have so much respect and gratitude for – and I highly recommend his retreats (I’ve done two) and online programs (done once and going through again). Check his retreats and online programs here and his FREE Starter Course here.
The below link is a video interview / chat of us catching up from Bali + Maui about business and life lessons…and most importantly, to keep going after your dreams.
We talk about overcoming self doubt, speaking your truth with grace and love, crossroads, important money habits for adults (+ kids!) and centering your business around what you love…and much, much more.
May the interview inspire to keep going after your dreams…and keep doing what you love, every day.
Over to you
- What were your favorite parts of the interview?
- Did you get re-inspired to go after a dream you can’t stop thinking about?
Share any thoughts below – I personally read every single comment and always respond – I love to hear.
Lots of love,
Carmen xo

I loved the Whole interview!! The way you explained dance 💃 and letting go, so everything just flows. I tend to take things too seriously, so now I’m inspired to find some dance classes and start letting go. Also hearing about your struggles in business makes you real and truthful, so I appreciated you being authentic. I find social media at times only shows a snippet of the good times, but we know not everything is perfect all the time.
I’m so glad you enjoyed it Sharon – and I LOVE hearing that you’re going to find some dance classes near you! Try a few til you find the style, teacher and music that you love (it might be the first class you attend – or the 3rd). Dance has made ALL the difference for me and why I use it as a life and business strategy for myself and clients. Thank you so much for your feedback on the interview – I really appreciate your taking the time to share what was helpful for you! Keep me posted on your dance classes – would love to hear. Lots of love, Carmen
